Kouta, a country boy who lives with his grandfather, is now moving to the city to attend high school. Changes come with his new home and new school, but nothing could have prepared the gentle young man for girls, specifically a bombshell fox spirit named Chizuru. As if her aggressive advances weren't enough, he also catches the attention of a frosty wolf spirit named Nozomu. Kouta is dragged into supernatural events as a result of his contact with the two girls, and his school life only gets more chaotic by the day. But with a girl who gives "foxy" new meaning and another howling after him, things are looking up for his love life.

Kanokon's story revolves around Kouta Okayama, a young first-year high school student who moves from the country to the city and thus transfers to Kunpo High School. On his first day at his new school, a beautiful second-year female student named Chizuru Minamoto asks him to meet her alone in the music room. When he arrives, she reveals that she is in fact a fox deity and from that day on the two hang out together. Nozomu is a first year female student at Kouta's school, she is in fact a wolf deity and in love with Kouta, and a rival of Chizuru for Kouta's affections. (Taken from ANN)

I'm going to say this now, Kanokon is a super ecchi/fan service anime but, for those two reasons, this show was pretty damn funny. I haven't laughed this hard in a pretty long time. I should also mention this show is NOT for kids what so ever. You see breasts, panties, and other stuff through out the entire show that are not intended for kids.

One of the main characters, Chizuru, is in love with Kouta. During the course of the show Chizuru does many perverted things to him. While he likes it, he always resists it because he thinks it's wrong. While Chizuru starts doing these things to Kouta, the other students at their school give Kouta the nickname "The Great Erotic King". That's just one of the many goofy/erotic things during the show. Another great thing that adds to the comedy was the writing. I thought the writing was very funny and entertaining. I laughed through out the show. Every single episode made me laugh.

All and all, the show was very enjoyable. While it's super ecchi and fan service, I just thought it was very funny. The comedy of the show is what drew me in (and maybe the ecchi stuff :P). If you love ecchi/fan service stuff, you will probably love this series. While a short ride (12 episodes), it was very enjoyable. I think they may be making another season but, I'm not sure. I know there are 2 OVAs out now but, I don't think any of them are subbed yet.

...but just one. This is way bellow all standards: most of all aspects, it requires as small as possible brain from audience. All is about sex, which is really dull, maybe from 5-years old male perspective, but with a very serious face though. Add a bit mystical elements, just in case the audience is really bored. It does not have a story at all, though it pretends to have some. Alas, the very insufficient script cannot be saved in any way. Main line goes about this way: "oh I want to get laid but I do not want to be the one who gets laid and see all the chicks want to get me laid though I am the biggest loser in the world, yes man this sucks and this is the way that all should like it".

"Kanokan" only had one hook for me:it was from the studio that brought us "Toradora", perhaps the best anime ever made. So I decided to give this once a chance and hey, it's a romance. Long story short Chizuru is a girl who is obsessed with a boy named Kouta, and spends the series vying for his love and affection, fighting off any rivals and going through mostly zany plots usually revolving around her trying to get Kouta to love her, with the occasional serious battle. The only thing that kept me watching was the vain hope things would get better. Come on, the studio brought us "Toradora", it had to get good eventually right? No.

This isn't a romance in any sense of the word. It's an obsessive freak relentlessly pursuing a boy and wanting to push him into a relationship he's clearly not ready for, only caring for his feelings in so far as what will get him to fall for her. The eventual after credits ending pushes this fact even further. Her "rival" is only slightly better, if only because she's not the main character, and thus we don't have to endure her as much. So the basic premise of the show falls apart because the "love story" is the anti theisis of a proper romance, and it's the entire basis of the series. Now granted most series don't have THAT good of romance but this isn't as much of a problem because usually their focus is elsewhere. However even they at least have the basics.

Now people will argue this is funny, it's really not. I guarantee you if the genders were switched around, it Kouta was the super powered boy relentlessly stalkiing and pursuing a young girl simply cause he found her sexy, he'd be pegged as a creep. Of course as bad as this is, this is not the only fault of Kanokan.

The fan service. Now you may say "this is an ecchi, you can't fault the series for that." Well yes, I can, for three major reasons, and the first one is a problem with many ecchi in general:it's played for laughs. Titlation and humor don't really mix well. If it's a turn on, then you're not very likely to laugh cause you're too busy, well being titilated. Also since the fan service is purely TO titillate, the jokes are an excuse to present the fan service, and as such it's unlikely to be found funny. Secondly, since the purpose is to titillate, whose going to care about the story anyway?(especially one as pathetic as Kanokon's). Thirdly, it tries to cover far too much range. In Kanokan alone we have the typical panty shots and nudity, but also bondage, face sitting, latex, bunny suits, etc. As a result it's only going to appease a certain number of people very few times, and thus even on the base level it was meant to appeal it fails.

Now need I even give further mention to the characters? The two main girls are paper thin horn dogs bordering on stalker/rapist, the main boy is nothing more then an object of sex appeal to both the characters and the audience(whether it be for his shotacon looks or being a guy that two girls are lusting after), and everyone else is simply an obstacle to present to provide more fan service and thin excuses for plot. For example we get some antagonist who is meant to be a mega threat, ultimately is dispensed of whether easily and was an excuse for a 10 second scene of Chizuru bound and gagged while we look up her panties(in this reviewer's personal opinion, Chizuru should remain bound, gagged and locked in a closet off screen forever) The anime fails on every level, and why this studio needs to resort to this nonsense when it's shown capable of great storytelling with "Toradora", and what little I've seen of 'Shakuguan No Shana" also looks stellar.

Look one second let me think you are have some boy with some kind of these abilities. But many doesn't care why and how di it possible there always some person which try to find out what exactly is going.

And if such boy have some kind of sent then more then enough sprint know about it and try to find out what he is. Probably from very high rank but nobody care just only girls but I am sure some boys notice it and involve someone to investigate.

But very good and light movement are there that is very much entertaining with the ease so some sexual freedom. If you wanna watch can se one time.
