The "new" Xena kills less often than the "old" Xena, but still quite often. In this episode she kills Sinteres with the "pressure points" technique, one of Arkel's warriors by slicing his belly with her sword, and another by thrusting her sword in his groin (ouch!). The "new" Xena's body-count after this episode is 31.

This is certainly a far out episode. Anything from 1970s kung fu films with a nod to snake style kung fu to a pastiche of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Also Bruce Campbell. The ham factor is dialled up to 11.

Campbell plays master thief Autolycus. The self proclaimed 'King of Thieves.' He only steals for himself or for a profit.

Xena needs him to steal a chest stolen from some villagers. The chest contains a code that the villagers live by. It is due to be auctioned off by the evil warlord Malthus.

Autolycus reluctantly agrees although he has an arrangement with Malthus. Autolycus would not steal from him, in return he gets to keep his body parts.

Ludicrously entertaining. With Campbell in the cast, everyone seems to raise their chin.
