Born out of the twisted, random psyche of independent film actor Brice Kennedy, The Brice Kennedy Show is a public access comedic variety talk show television program. Equal parts nonsensical chicanery and performance art, the show mixes live studio guests and musical performances with pre-taped man on the street segments, erratic stunts, abstract spectacles and other ridiculous ridiculosities to celebrate the absurd.

Brice interviewed Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes of Days of Our Lives (1965) fame once at a fund raiser but afterwards they refused to allow the footage to be used. They didn't like the edgy nature of the show so the segment never aired.

Brice bought the original painting "MTV Is Number One" by Phil Giroux, co-host of "The Tom Green Show". Brice bought Phil's painting on eBay and he has stated publicly since that he plans on featuring it in a future episode.

When this show first popped up on local cable in my hometown, people didn't know what to think. The first episode was like a cross between an art-house film and The Tom Green Show. The second episode went further, nearly into Kaufman territory, as a Christmas Special featuring Santa Claus exclaiming "Ho, ho, ho!" nonstop for a full 30 minutes. No commercial breaks and even less mercy.

The tone of the show is silly yet, at times, aggressive. Though some of the segments are hilarious in a broad sense, the show overall definitely isn't meant for mass consumption. There are too many obscure references, in-jokes and too eccentric of an overall character to appeal to the lowest common denominator, which is clearly by design. Dismissed by some, appreciated by more and ignored by no one, this show is independent comedy at its best.

Brice is a funny guy... eccentric, very out there! This show is not your conventional comedy talk show. It's super off the wall random. Brice standing in traffic in his undies and the adventures of his alter-ego Muffleface are highlights. His vague little performance art bits are great, too. Just beware, the next time you're out shopping, if you see a Santa Claus accosting patrons in the parking lot, it just might be Brice... again.
