This movie was one of the better ones during this holiday season. I usually can't sit through Jonathan Bennett TV movies (Hallmark/Lifetime/UP Network) but, he was great in this film! He and Alexa PenaVega have great chemistry and I wouldn't mind even seeing a part 2 next year. "Christmas Made to Order is Definitely one to watch:)

Starts off with a few cheesy lines (like most of these movies) but the dialogue did get better. Plot was also pretty interesting and I'm glad that Hallmark is starting to make more finding-love-in-the-city Christmas movies, because all those you-have-to-go-to-a-small-town-to-feel-the-Christmas-spirit-and-find-love movies were really, REALLY starting to get tiresome. PenaVega and Bennett were pretty good but my expectations are not high for Hallmark movies; still, they never took me out of the movie with over-the-top acting so that's a plus. I give it a 6.5-7 stars.

The theme of follow your dream is a drum beaten pretty loudly in this movie.

The story premise of a bachelor hiring a Christmas decorator/planner isn't unique but it works out in this movie. Interesting climax too.

Alexa PenaVega is a lot of fun in this movie. I like optimistic characters and she's all that here. But I'm not so sure that her acting comes off as natural. Likewise Jonathan Bennett for acting. It's not that either one is bad, but sometimes a shot or a line just doesn't seem right.

I recently noticed (too late, I fear) that Hallmark likes throwing in Easter eggs this year (little surprise treasures for the observant viewer). In this one, watch for a photograph of PenaVega and a special someone.

Honestly, I have to admit - holiday decorator/coordinator sounds like a perfect job for me! So, naturally, I really liked this movie! I always enjoy watching Alexa PenaVega (and see if you can spot a cameo by her husband!) and was happy to see Jonathan Bennett in an acting role again!

Nice to see Harriett Winslow!!! Also very good to see J Bennett in an acting and non-hosting role; I like this side of him better. Seems he has to be too silly for Food Network to please the execs there. He did a good job in this film. Nice to see Anne Sward too. Some supporting actors, as usual, are weak.

Let's abandon or change our careers because:

    1. Paige's voice is not exceptional, however, she wants to major in music, instead of pursuing a career whereby she can make a living.

    2. Steven wants to start his own architectural company designing single homes, but there may not be a market for these long-term. Meanwhile, he was offered a partnership in his current firm and turned it down.

    3. Gretchen aspires to start her own holiday decorating company, but can she pay the bills waiting to procure new clients? She quit her current job and turned down a promotion.

Nice advice in theory, Hallmark, but unrealistic in a "real" world. Sorry, these unwise decisions ruined the movie for me.

Moderately better than the usual Hallmark Christmas movie, an architect (Jonathan Bennett) with a deadline over a Christmas hires a decorator (Alexa PenaVega) to up his house when his family visits for the holidays. The transformation of his living room is nice. Then he hires her to entertain them over the holidays with festive activities.

It's fun to watch a movie without a failing business to save for a change. The family ought to appreciate he's working hard whether it's Christmas or not.

The lead actors look good together. Alexa looks prettier here. Amusing how he's clueless about turning things romantic.
